Chaa Creek

Chaa CreekChaa Creek is located in a private 365-acre nature reserve along the bank of the Macal River and in the foothills of Maya Mountains, surrounded by lush rainforest and peace. Choose from a variety of accommodation choices to suit your needs and budget. The main accommodation area consists of 23 Cottages tucked in tropical gardens, all with private decks and charmingly decorated rooms. The three secluded Tree Top Suites with separate bedrooms offer views of the canopy and private jacuzzis on their verandas. The Garden Suite consists of two separate suites with a connecting door – one of the suites has a private jacuzzi, and both have their own verandas. The Orchard Villa was designed with families in mind with two bathrooms, two queen-size sleeping bays and an upstairs loft with two single beds. The Macal Cottage has a king-size bed and is situated on a grassy knoll overlooking the river. The new three-bedroom Spa Villa has two bathrooms, a panoramic view, and large wrap-around veranda with a jacuzzi.

Macal River Camp

Macal River CampMacal River Camp was designed for outdoors people who enjoy rustic accommodations in a remote setting. The ten casitas are built on raised platforms, are fully screened and have either two or four comfortable beds. Each casita has a private porch for quiet relaxation and peaceful views over the jungle habitat. There is no electricity and the shared bathrooms provide hot showers and clean facilities. Traditional Belizean meals are served by the friendly staff in the central palapa, the nightly gathering place. Enjoy swimming, canoeing, miles of well-maintained trails, a butterfly farm, and scheduled day tours to the Mayan sites of Xunantunich, Caracol and Tikal.

Caves Branch Jungle Lodge

Caves Branch Jungle LodgeSet on a perfect spot in the rainforest by the Caves Branch River, the Caves Branch Jungle Lodge offers rustic but comfortable accommodations and excellent tours. Caves Branch offers different accommodation options to suit your needs. There are four premium jungle tree houses with lots of living space. All have private bathrooms and king-size beds with extra futon beds. Four jungle suites have private bathrooms, queen-size beds with extra futon beds, and picture windows for views and breezes. The new four jungle bungalows come with private bathrooms, queen-size beds with extra futon beds, and wrap-around verandas. The four jungle cabanas each have a double bed and a twin bunk bed. These have indoor toilets and wash basins, but for showers, you’ll need to visit the fun outdoor jungle warm-water showers. For students, Caves Branch also offers a bunk-house with eight set of bunk beds and all outdoor facilities. All accommodation is fully screened and equipped with powerful ceiling fans, but no electrical outlets, air-conditioning or lighting – light is provided by kerosene lamps.

Caves Branch Jungle LodgeThe 58,000 acre Caves Branch Estate has a variety of exciting experiences to try. Float down a river going through caves, trek the jungle during the day and spot nocturnal life during night safaris, explore Mayan ruins and ceremonial caves – you can even take a day trip to Tikal – and get sporty with river kayaking, jungle mountain biking, rappelling and spelunking. If you miss the saltwater, take a day trip to South Water Caye for snorkeling and scuba diving. Most Caves Branch activities can be modified to suit the whole family, so bring your active kids along! After the fun day, relax in the pool and jacuzzi, have a great meal, and fall asleep with the jungle sounds and the river babbling surrounding you.

Lamanai Outpost Lodge

Lamanai Outpost LodgeLamanai Outpost Lodge is located in the middle of Belizean jungle on the shore of lagoon. A fantastic variety of habitats, Mayan ruins and a great selection of activities make Lamanai a favorite for active travelers who enjoy nature and like to be away from tourist areas. Lamanai has twenty double cabanas with private bathrooms, small refrigerators, and verandas. Most cabanas have a queen-size bed and a single bed. Families can be accommodated with an extra bed. Two of the cabanas have air-conditioning and all high-output ceiling fans that take advantage of the breezes coming from the lagoon.

Choose from different nature walks, canoe expeditions, Mayan ruins and medicine walks, and cruises in the 28-mile long lagoon.
