Tanzania Tarangire Safari Camps
The new stylish but still traditional seasonal camp of Lemala Tarangire offers an authentic and intimate safari experience starting June 2010. The camp has seven beautiful tents. Each tent is outfitted with two large single beds or one king-size bed, warm duvets, private bathrooms with flush toilets and large safari showers, and wooden cabinets and flooring, 24-hour solar lighting, an outside lounger, a writing table and more. The new tents are some of the most spacious and comfortable seasonal tents in Tanzania. The main tent offers separate living and dining areas with a central bar area. It is beautifully decorated with leather sofas, chandeliers, side cabinets and rugs.
Lemala Tarangire has a wonderful location near the Kuro Ranger Post deep inside the stunning Tarangire National Park. The camp takes advantage of the seasonal game movement from the surrounding areas into Tarangire National Park in the dry season between June and October. The permanent Tarangire River and the large Silale swamp attract vast number of elephant and buffalo herds together with the big cats and over 500 species of birds in the dry season are located near the camp – here you can maximize game viewing opportunities from dawn to dusk. Wildlife also wanders past the camp all day during the dry season heading towards the river beds or the swamps. Adding to two game drives per day, you are also able to go on guided nature walks from the camp or just enjoy al fresco meals and sundowners – while watching the animals heading for the river!
